“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” – Jawaharial Nehru

To all those struck by wanderlust,

I urge you to delve into the wild journeys that await outside our friendly campus bubble. Let this be a space for you to share the lovely things you have been lucky enough to discover abroad. Storytelling over Cogro cake has become my comfortable way of connecting with others, so I thought to create this site as a way to hit pause and allow our curiousity the temporary fix it so desires.

This summer I hiked through a Middle Eastern desert with nothing but a sunburn, stale bread, and sand everywhere. How did I, the girl too nervous to walk through the ARC alone, wind up in a desert 9,354 km from my family? Naturally, I was pushed beyond my comfortable limits, but my favourite moments were not those that resulted in the most profound snapshots. It was opening my eyes to a clear night sky, and my relationship with the way the sun rose that I miss the most. Please do not forget that it’s often the little things that mean the most.

Whether it’s overseas, or downtown Kingston, there’s much discovery to be done. Let the stories and photos in this issue overwhelm and inspire you to go out and start checking off that bucket list.

May your journeys keep you ever growing in spectacular, unexpected ways.

Bon voyage,
